How will we be used by Jesus to bring light into the Hauppauge Community?
God has opened the doors for the Long Island Church of Christ to influence Hauppauge with His love, peace, and hope. Our presence in the community can become the Gateway for the Gospel of Christ. I often think of the baptistry as a gateway into God's Kingdom (Col 1:13). We are transferred from darkness into the kingdom of light, from slavery to freedom, and from death to life. In Jesus we are restored, reconciled, and renewed. These are the three R's of Gateway.
The Gospel is how God's love restores people to their true purpose, reconciling them with their Creator, and renewing their lives as they leave behind the victimization of sin. As a church, God uses us to counter the forces of darkness that rule the thinking and doing in our society. The church is the centerpiece of God's multi-faceted wisdom (Eph 3:10). How we decide to be intentional about that will affect countless lives around us. By raising God's banner of love and carrying that love among us, people will see God’s perfect love in our imperfect lives. God gets the glory!
I pray we are ready to rise to the challenge to be salt and light to Hauppauge!

Where We’ve Been
Since the inception of the Long Island Church of Christ, a Christian congregation which dates back to August of 1980, the church has exponentially grown in its attendance and now embarks on the groundbreaking ceremony of its new worship building.
Its opening will mark the congregation's 44th year of service to the communities throughout Long Island.
Where We’re Going
For the nearly 20,000 residents who currently reside in Hauppauge and are looking for a home away from home they do not need to look any further than the Long Island Church of Christ.
There they will find believers who worship God in spirit and in truth, and a fellowship that embodies a group of people who are inspired by the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The members are dedicated to implementing a plethora of the same initiatives that have helped them to transform people's lives for over 30 years of ministry
